Go To Sleep (free) 04:57
Go To Sleep I'm getting used to the feelings of defeat, and I'm not disappointed anymore. It's not a shock to me there are no lines left to cross, sooner or later everyone will let you down. I go to sleep to the sounds of the engines firing up, and I wake to the sounds of the death of my country. In some ways, I am happy for the loss because I never asked to be born inside of an invisible line on a map but I know that I will miss this when it's gone. Our lives are based in no small part on American news. We watch respects of old get replaced by contracts of new for some big box store construction out of town making every city look the same and we all want what we don't need. I go to sleep to the sounds of the engines firing up, and I wake to the sounds of the death of my country. In some ways, I am happy for the loss because I never asked to be born inside of an invisible line on a map but there are things that I will miss when they're gone. So when you base your life on what is on TV tonight, relationships dissolve, and out friendships disappear. I don't know how this all happened; changing channels to our death, counting seconds till the screen goes blank and our love drifts away. I know that no one remembers fucking up, it just happens. It's easier to justify that way. I go to sleep to the sounds of the engines firing up, and I wake to the sounds of the death of my country. In some ways, I am happy for the loss because I never asked to be born inside of an invisible line on a map but I know that I will miss this when it's gone.

Little Mountain I've walked up and down the same dark street several times today. All I'm seeing between the cracks in the windows and doors is a small amount of light shining down on the small amount of patience I have left for any more decisions made for me. I need a break from this goddamn place before it makes me insane. The Pacific Ocean has never looked as dirty as it does today. Take a last look out from the top, and follow it all the way down. If you can take me away, I'll shut my fuckin' mouth and I'll leave it alone. How many more boarded windows and barricaded doors does this city need? They traded low cost housing for municipal parking. When I get this feeling like I owe something to the concrete, I will be moving on. I need a break from this goddamn place before it makes me insane. The Pacific Ocean has never looked as dirty as it does today. Take a last look out from the top, and follow it all the way down. If you can take me away, I'll shut my fuckin' mouth and I'll leave it alone.
