Decaying Cities - Jon Creeden

from Home (Split with Jon Creeden) by Jesse LeBourdais

lyrics

I've been living with one foot out the door,
I've been living with boxes on the floor, in the corner all neatly packed. I've been living with undecorated walls,
I've been sitting by the phone hoping for a call from anyone,
telling me I'm in luck.
As the Queen perched high in her guard tower, she watched the Downtown flee.
To make more room for her Bridge partners and darling, it's time for us to leave.
It seems like we've been searching for so long,
for a place we love and belong and I know, it's out there somewhere. Spend so much time in the unknown,
I want a place we can call our own, and I'm always coming home to you.
As the Queen perched high in her guard tower, she watched the Downtown flee.
To make more room for her bridge partners and darling it's time for us to leave.
My home is here with you, and your home is here with me.
